GENERAL INFORMATIONS
The road between Ollon and Villars will be closed during the demonstration runs and will be off-limits to all traffic, by authorization of the Department of Justice and Police of the State of Vaud.
- Saturday, August 23, 2025: road closed from 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 01:15 PM to 04:45 PM.
- Sunday, August 24, 2025: road closed from 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 01:15 PM to 04:45 PM.
Access to Villars remains possible at all times via the Bex – Gryon – Villars road.
The Col de la Croix road remains open.
The road via Ollon, Panex, and Plambuit will be reserved exclusively for Authorized Residents.
Parking only in the places provided, in Ollon, Antagnes, Glutières, Huémoz, Chesières and Villars, see location map.
Please strictly follow the signage in place.

Event Safety
Please book according to your needs in hotels and restaurants in the region.
The Clerk of the Course and the Chair of the Organising Committee would like to take this opportunity to remind you of some very important points. Failure to observe these conditions may result in your entry being withdrawn.
- Your climbs will be made on closed roads but you must still drive responsibly and safely.
- Your runs are for demonstration only and must be made in accordance with the laws embodied in the Road Closing Order.
Certain sections of the hill are subject to speed restrictions to which you MUST comply. Failure to do so will result in you being excluded. These sections are as follows:
- Car and Motor cycle Lower Paddocks to the START line: 30 kph (20mph)
- Through the village of HUEMOZ: 40 kph (25mph)
- From the entry to Chesieres and the FINISH line: 50 kph (30mph)
- FINISH line to Upper Paddocks: 30 kph (20mph)

August 21st - Thursday
Preparation of the course, laying out the spectator areas and putting out the many markers and arrows,
August 22nd - Friday
More course preparation, putting out straw bales, marking out spectator zones and parking areas, putting out markers and arrows in the surrounding areas, setting up refreshment stalls, putting out publicity posters, laying out the Start and Finish lines and welcoming the participants with their vehicles.
August 23rd - Saturday
Amongst other things managing the parking and PUBLIC access areas, serving in and resupply of the refreshment stalls.
August 24st - Sunday
Managing the parking and PUBLIC access areas, serving in and resupply of the refreshment stalls.
At the end of the event everything will have to be dismantled!
Over and above the many tasks mentioned above there are other things with which we need assistance. Please let one of the Committee know if you think there is something with which you feel you can help us.
The organizing Committee of the SMO would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped with the organizing and running of the event. Without your help the event would simply not take place.
